The Ottawa Electrical Contractors Association (Ottawa ECA) was established in 1964 as a not-for-profit organization representing nearly 200 electrical contractors serving the industrial, commercial, institutional, residential, and service sectors throughout the Greater Ottawa Area. For more than six decades, the Association has played a vital role in supporting the growth, professionalism, and long-term success of the local electrical contracting industry. Through advocacy, education, networking opportunities, and industry leadership, the Ottawa ECA has become a trusted voice for electrical contractors across the National Capital Region.

As one of ten regional associations within the Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario (ECAO), the Ottawa ECA actively represents the interests of its members on a wide range of issues affecting the construction industry. The Association works closely with industry stakeholders, government agencies, regulatory bodies, labour partners, and educational institutions to address matters related to electrical contracting, construction legislation, health and safety, workforce development, government relations, labour relations, and the advancement of industry standards and best practices. By maintaining strong relationships at both the regional and provincial levels, the Ottawa ECA ensures that the concerns and priorities of its members are heard and addressed.
