ECA Ontario Conference 2020

POSTPONED UNTIL MAY 2021 –  ECA Ontario’s 2020 Annual Industry Conference to be held in Prague, Czech Republic, has bee postponed due to the Covid – 19 pandemic. While  this is disappointing, ECA Ontario has confirmed booking the same location for May 2021.

Prague, capital city of the Czech Republic, is nicknamed “the City of a Hundred Spires.” It’s known for its Old Town Square, the heart of its historic core, with colorful baroque buildings, Gothic churches and the medieval Astronomical Clock, which gives an animated hourly show.

Delegates will stay at the luxurious Mandarin Oriental Prague – itself a piece of history, dating back to the 14th century – you are set to explore this most unique of European cities.  Minutes by foot to the Charles Bridge, built under the auspices of King Charles IV in the 14th century, venture through ancient cobblestone streets.  While you might think Bohemian when you hear Prague, today it is a mixture of Old and New. World-class art galleries mix with modern luxury retailers, casual cafes are intermingled with Michelin star restaurants.

OCA Symposium & Trade Show 2020

OCA Symposium & Trade Show 2020
February 26 & 27, 2020 – EY Centre, Ottawa, Ontario

The Ottawa Construction Association, along with its eight partner associations, is pleased to present the second annual OCA Construction Symposium and Tradeshow.

Building on the success of 2019, we have expanded our program to two days for 2020 at the EY Centre. This year’s event will feature a trade show floor of 90,000 square feet, and room for 175 exhibitors. We have also expanded our educational program to include a 30,000-square foot youth engagement zone in which local high-school students will have the opportunity to experience a multitude of hands-on trade or technology activities—with the objective of raising awareness and enhancing attitudes about careers in construction.
We are proud again to feature a rich offering of topics and speakers that will appeal to all in the industry: builders, suppliers, designers and purchasers. We will offer many seminars concurrently in four small theatres on the trade show floor, as well as in the main conference presentation rooms at the front of the EY Centre. All are free to attend.

Should you have any questions about the 2020 Symposium, including trade show space or event sponsorships, please contact Stephanie Wallace, OCA’s Director of Membership Liaison & Development. She can be reached at and 613-236-0488, ext. 15.
