ECA Ottawa hosted its 60th Annual General Meeting on Thursday, February 29th, 2024, at the Mill Street Brewery, 555 Wellington Street. This new venue provided a stunning view, delicious local food and drinks, and a friendly and efficient staff. The evening began with a reception at 5:00pm, allowing members to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones. This was followed by a delightful dinner and reports from the Chairman, Executive Director, and Committee Chair on the Association’s current status.

During the meeting, the membership welcomed the new Board of Directors for 2024-2025, approved the audited financial statements, selected next year’s auditors, endorsed new bylaws, and learned about upcoming strategic plans.

Roch Picknell from Wired Synergy was introduced as the new Chairman of the Board, alongside Vice-Chairman Chris Crawford from C & M Electric, Adam MacArthur from Adam MacArthur Electric, and Johannes Ziebarth from Ziebarth Electrical. The meeting also welcomed new Directors: Scott Winch from Citty Wye’d, Jeff Tremblay from T & M Electric, Audrey Kroon Lowther from Kroon Electric, Bob Brennan from Bradley Kelly, Mark Merriman from BCM Electric, and Yves Laurin from Bright Electric. Congratulations to all the new appointees.
