The Ottawa Electrical Contractors Association hosts a variety of events throughout the year that bring members together to connect, stay informed, and strengthen our industry. From business-focused meetings to social and networking opportunities, our events are designed to encourage engagement, collaboration, and professional growth.

Ottawa ECA Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a key governance event for the Association. Members receive reports on the Association’s financial position, committee activities, apprenticeship administration, and strategic priorities. Board elections are conducted in accordance with the Association’s bylaws, and members have the opportunity to participate in discussions that shape the future direction of the organization. Attendance at the AGM is strongly encouraged as it ensures transparency, accountability, and active member involvement.

ECA Ontario Annual Conference – Mexico
Members are also invited to attend the Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario Annual Conference, being held this year in Mexico. The conference brings together electrical contractors from across the province for business meetings, industry updates, keynote speakers, and networking events. It is an excellent opportunity to engage with provincial leadership, discuss emerging trends, and build relationships with peers from other regions.

All Members Meeting – Spring
Our Spring All Members Meeting provides important updates on Association initiatives, labour relations, apprenticeship developments, safety matters, and government advocacy. This session offers members the opportunity to ask questions, raise concerns, and share insight on current market conditions. Guest speakers may be invited to address timely industry issues.

Annual Golf Tournament
Our Annual Golf Tournament is one of the Association’s most popular networking events. Members, industry partners, and guests enjoy a day on the course followed by a reception and dinner. This event provides an excellent opportunity to strengthen relationships, connect with colleagues, and build new business connections in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.

All Members Meeting – Fall
The Fall All Members Meeting focuses on preparing members for the year ahead. Topics may include collective bargaining updates, strategic planning priorities, training initiatives, and economic outlooks. This meeting ensures members are aligned and informed before entering the upcoming construction season.

Ottawa Senators Hockey Game
Each season, the Association hosts a member outing to see the Ottawa Senators compete in the National Hockey League. This event offers a great opportunity for members to network while enjoying a professional hockey game together. Tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Annual Christmas Gala
The Ottawa ECA Christmas Gala is a highlight of the Association’s social calendar. This festive evening brings together members, partners, and special guests to celebrate the accomplishments of the past year and recognize the strength of our industry community. The evening typically features dinner, entertainment, and opportunities to connect in a relaxed and celebratory atmosphere. The Gala has become a cherished tradition and a wonderful way to close out the year with colleagues and friends.
