It has recently come to our attention that the City of Ottawa is considering the implementation of COR Certification for all city contracts. Ottawa will join a long list of municipalities and companies that are now requesting COR Certification. The city has asked the Ottawa Construction Association to support their idea to require COR and the OCA Board has agreed. That being the case, ECA Ottawa feels it is imperative that we begin preparations so that our members are forewarned and prepared. 

The COR program began in Alberta more than 20 years ago. IHSA brought COR to Ontario in 2011. In Ontario, the program consists of 19 elements that promote health and safety behavior.
