All Members Meeting June 4

Tuesday, June 4, 2024 – ECA Ottawa is hosting our Spring All-Members Meeting on June 4th, 2024 at the popular Mill Street Brew Pub, 555 Wellington St. This is a semi-annual meeting featuring reports, updates and valuable information on the Association and your industry. The evening includes an introductory reception, a full dinner, member updates and guest speakers. Our guest speakers are Ross Holden and Tim McGrath, experts in aboriginal strategies to comply with incoming government requirements. They assist in recruitment, training and provide mentoring in the best practices of IT, HR and Aboriginal Policy Development and provide opportunities to Aboriginal people who desire to work in the construction and other industries.

ECA OTTAWA WELCOMES NEW BOARD

ECA Ottawa approved the new Board of Directors at its AGM on February 29th, 2024. New Chairman of the Board, Roch Picknell (Wired Synergy) welcomed Vice Chair, Chris Crawford (C & M Electric), Treasurer, Adam MacArthur (Adam MacArthur Electric) and Past Chair Johannes Ziebrth (Ziebarth Electrical) to the Executive Board. The Directors are: Scott Winch (City Wye’d), Bob Brennan (Bradley Kelly), Audrey Kroon Lowther (Kroon Electric), Jeff Tremblay (T & M Electric), Mark Merriman (BCM Electric) and Yves Laurin (Bright Electric).

2023 Golf Tournament a Huge Success

The 2023 ECA Ottawa Annual Golf Tournament was a huge success. Held at Loch March Golf & Country Club,  the sold out tournament hosted 144 golfers, 35 sponsors and 8  on course sponsored holes. The rain held off long enough for everyone to enjoy 18 holes in the sun then make it inside for dinner before t he thunder and lightning show began.

Congratulations to members Chris and Ken Crawford, with teammates Marshal and Dave who took home the championship trophies with a total score of -12 under par. Other winners included women’s longest drive champion, Sam Lane. The Longest Drive men’s winner was Rob Laderoute. Lumens Closest to the Pin winner was Jordan Gigroc. GAL Power Systems Closest to the Pin winner, ladies, was Audrey Kroon-Lowther and men’s Mitch Geertz. Special thanks to 50/50 winner Bob Brennan who returned the cash winning back to our charity.
