ECA OTTAWA WELCOMES NEW BOARD

ECA Ottawa approved the new Board of Directors at its AGM on February 29th, 2024. New Chairman of the Board, Roch Picknell (Wired Synergy) welcomed Vice Chair, Chris Crawford (C & M Electric), Treasurer, Adam MacArthur (Adam MacArthur Electric) and Past Chair Johannes Ziebrth (Ziebarth Electrical) to the Executive Board. The Directors are: Scott Winch (City Wye’d), Bob Brennan (Bradley Kelly), Audrey Kroon Lowther (Kroon Electric), Jeff Tremblay (T & M Electric), Mark Merriman (BCM Electric) and Yves Laurin (Bright Electric).

ECA Ottawa was thrilled to participate in the ECA Ontario 2024 Annual Industry Conference, September 15 to 21 at the luxurious Four Season Hotel Ritz in Lisbon, Portugal’s captivating capital city. As a valued member of our community, we enjoyed a week of unparalleled networking, knowledge-sharing, and professional development.

The 2025 conference looks to be another fantastic event. it will take place in Chicago, Il the 2nd week of September, 2025. As more details become available we will post them here.

2023 Golf Tournament a Huge Success

The 2023 ECA Ottawa Annual Golf Tournament was a huge success. Held at Loch March Golf & Country Club, the sold out tournament hosted 144 golfers, 35 sponsors and 8 on course sponsored holes. The rain held off long enough for everyone to enjoy 18 holes in the sun then make it inside for dinner before t he thunder and lightning show began.

Congratulations to members Chris and Ken Crawford, with teammates Marshal and Dave who took home the championship trophies with a total score of -12 under par. Other winners included women’s longest drive champion, Sam Lane. The Longest Drive men’s winner was Rob Laderoute. Lumens Closest to the Pin winner was Jordan Gigroc. GAL Power Systems Closest to the Pin winner, ladies, was Audrey Kroon-Lowther and men’s Mitch Geertz. Special thanks to 50/50 winner Bob Brennan who returned the cash winning back to our charity.

59th Annual GEneral Meeting

ECA Ottawa Chair Johannes Ziebarth hosted our 59th Annual General Meeting. It was a full house at Lago’s Bar and Grill, Dow’s Lake Pavillion on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Members enjoyed a reception followed by a multi- course prime rib dinner. The Board and Committee chairs, along with the Executive Director provided reports on the programs, services and financial status of the Association. It was a huge success and our thanks to special guest speaker, Dan Leduc, partner at law firm Soloway Wright.

2025 ECA Ottawa Golf Tournament

The 2025 Ottawa ECA Annual Golf Tournament will once again be held at Loch March Golf & Country Club. It will take place on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

Situated amidst the tremendous landscape of Kanata, Ontario, Loch March Golf and Country Club stands as a premier destination for golf enthusiasts seeking an unparalleled experience. This meticulously designed 18-hole championship golf course, surrounded by lush greenery and scenic views, offers a challenging yet enjoyable round for players of all skill levels. As one of Ottawa’s premier golf venues, Loch March will once again create an unforgettable experience for all ECA members, guests and sponsors. Green fees include: lunch, golf cart, balls, tee’s, prizes and dinner.

Cost: Green Fees are $850.00 plus HST or $235 per individual.
Registration: Golfers are asked to register onsite starting at 11:00am.
Lunch: BBQ lunch will begin at 11:30am
Tee Time: This tournament will be a scramble format with a shotgun start at 1:00pm.
Dinner: Steak dinner starts at 6:30 with announcements and prizes.
